A TRUE CYCLING CHALLENGE
Devised in 1950 by the Pau Cycling Club, the “Raid” is today overseen by the Cycle Club Béarnais.
Following the French / Spanish border you will traverse many of the cols that have been made legendary by the Tour de France, including Tourmalet, Aubisque, Col de Portet d’Aspet and Col d’Aspin.
A true cycling classic every cyclist should attempt during their riding career.

" There is no doubt the Raid is one of the great cycling challenges.
I knew completing it would give me a sense of achievement, but what I did not expect was to enjoy it so much. "

Prades to Cerbere
Today you will finally hit the Mediterranean.
But don’t be fooled for although the distance and ascent are far less than encountered on the previous days there are still some large rolling cliff tops. Also the clock is ticking. You must reach the finish in Cerbère before 13:00 [When the 100th hour is up!].
